Hmmm...I usually have to post links in order to get URLs to do that. I just simply put the link in the post, and it automatically embedded it on here.

URL preview has to be enabled in Settings > Options > BB Code Settings > Show URL Previews. And URL previews will only appear if the posted URL is in its own line.

Mitch, the video preview loads fine on my end but I'm not using an iPad.



But this iPad issue has nothing to do with the Auto-embed Videos mod. MP4 attachments auto-embed is a native vB5 and vB6 functionality.

It's working quite well in 6.1.0.

Feature request : Could you make it so that when the post that contains a video is quoted, it keeps the URL and creates a link with the URL bbcode instead of embedding the video ?

People usually don't need to see the video again in the quoted post tbh.

Wobak, keeping the embedded video in a quoted post is a native vB functionality with or without this mod. And if you have multiple posts with embedded videos, users wouldn't quickly see which video is being quoted if we removed the embedded videos inside a quote.

But if you still want to change this behavior, then add this custom CSS in css_additional.css template:

.bbcode_quote .video-frame .videothumbnail {
    display: none;
}

.bbcode_quote .videocontainer:has(.video-frame) {
    aspect-ratio: auto;
    background: none;
}

.bbcode_quote .videocontainer .video-frame::before {
    content: attr(href);
}

The above code is not fully tested but I think it should work. It replaces the video thumbnail with the video link. When link is clicked, it would still load the embedded video iframe like it normally would and thus the link would be replaced by the video iframe embed.

He's asking if your embed can include the title of the video. The example below is the youtube bbcode we had on the forum, which shows a "better" formating. Is there a way to tweak that without having to rewrite the mod?
