Dropbox does not have an built-in embed option to insert videos like YouTube and and other video providers do.
It might still be possible to embed a Dropbox video using the browser's native video player using the <video> tag. But remember that when embedding a file like that, there are bandwidth limitations to consider. Depending on the size of the file and your account type, you could easily use up all of allotted bandwidth for your Dropbox account.
Hello Glenn. How is that mod coming along? Have you made any progress on it yet? I am still waiting to get it.

glennrocksvb could there be a bbcode that would tell the mod to ignore the video and not embed it ?
Some people just want to put a link to some videos without the forum trying to integrate it, or even links with timer starts, which the vbulletin video module doesn't handle.
Could you create a keyword bbcode that goes along such as [noembed]URL to video[/noembed] that the mod would ignore?
Ok, I will implement it in the next version. Meanwhile, the workaround I can think of is to post the video link without https://. vBulletin will still make it a hyperlink but the mod will not auto-embed it.
Nothing I do will make this mod work with youtube shorts or facebook reels.
No matter what I do a video tag is put around any link I post unless I make it a link.
Regular youtube videos work only.
YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels are supported. There are multiple URL formats for Reels, not all may be supported by the mod yet. But the most used URL format that starts with facebook.com/reel works as shown in your example.
Well i have Vbulletin 6.14 and that facebook reel I posted works here does not on my forum.
No facebook reels or youtube shorts work. Not any.
There is not any other mods on my forum. No major changes just straight up out of the box.
I'ved cleared every cache, used every browser tried everything.
There is not any possible way to post a video link without VB putting video tags around it.
If I post it as a link it doesn't work. Not possible to post text only.
I guess I will just have abaondon this mod, it is useless to me. It does not work.
I am running a vBulletin forum for a content creator community and wanted to raise a mod request around Instagram media integration. Currently when members...
