So you allow users in Users Awaiting Moderation usergroup to post before they are approved? What's the purpose of moderating them if they can post?
Unless I misunderstand the usergroup, if one is in Users Awaiting Moderation, only Administrators can 'see' them. And therefore, allowing them to create posts means, again, that only Administrators can see those posts. In this way, we/Admins, can preview those posts to see if they are legitimate or spam. If legit, they are moved into the Registered usergroup. If spam, sayonara baby!

Any user with the permission to view other posts will see moderated users' posts unless their posts are unapproved. Try logging in with a regular user to verify.
Just tested. Yes, posts made by a user in Users Awaiting Moderation are not visible to Guests or regular users, just Administrators. And the posts are 'Unapproved' until acted upon by an Administrator.

The post appears to have been redirected from Help the New Guy to Kubuntu 25.04 Plucky Puffin. But that still doesn't account for why the post, originally created in a Channel that this MOD affects, was made without a Topic Prefix.
And this raises a separate issue, that hopefully can be addressed in an update to the MOD, and that's how to force/require a Topic Prefix to a Topic that is moved from a Channel that didn't require a Topic Prefix; so none was used; to a Channel that does require a Topic Prefix, which is what happened here.

So that was the issue, the post which was created in a channel that doesn't require a prefix was moved to a channel that requires prefix. The prefix validation is only done by the mod when creating a post not when moving it.

Yeah. It's not a big deal. We (Admins) just have to be aware when moving a Topic that doesn't have a topic prefix into a Channel that requires a topic prefix, to edit it after the move and give it one.

I noticed that the topic prefix is only enforced for new topics, but not when editing existing topics. Would it be possible to extend this to editing topics as well?
Can you add an option to exempt certain user groups from enforcing topic prefixes?
I use Icons to identify certain groups that posts pertain to. It is a Car forum and I use Icons like 57-58 to identify posts that are about that group of cars. I like the idea of being able to force users to use the icons. I would really like to be able to click on the 57-58 icon and sort posts with the same icon to the top of the list.
So you want to make this icon dropdown field required? And you want to be able to sort topics by these icons from the Filter dropdown in the Topic list in a Forum channel?
I finally created a mod that allows you to add an icon to each post with options for sharing on other platforms. I honestly thought it was absurd that...
