How to have a border around my topic modules

I really like how this forum has a border around the topic modules. How do I achieve this to separate the different modules.

You might need to do additional tweaks to the CSS as you have customized style. The CSS provided in that mod is based off the Default Style.

How do I make the area between the modules transparent now to match the background ?

You can see the issue here also on iPhone there is another issue with the text outside the module.

This should fix the text extending outside the container.

This is the area I was talking about. Is it possible to make it semi transparent like the rest of the background on the left next to the background picture

You can't set transparent to that part only. But you could do so for that entire module.
