I don't know why I never posted about this mod because it's the best tool in the world for heavy content posters. The members of my forums are verbose and love to quote content, but hate having to quote everything and then go back and delete what you don't want. What a waste of time. Thanks to this wonderful mod, you quote exactly what you want to quote. I have a few members that actually reply to multiple messages in one reply using this quote tool. It rocks!!

It can be moved below the highlighted text to make sure it doesn't cover any highlighted text. It would require editing the code for the mod.

That would be an advantage, not exactly high priority but when you get the time, would be a welcomed change

Hey guys,

Does anyone know how to make the ''Quote'' pop up show at the end of the sentence it is quoting as opposed to over it ? I ask as some of my readers highlight a portion they are wanting to just read and not quote, but the quote pop up sometimes pops up over what they are trying to read.

Any insight would be helpful

That's a known limitation, it doesn't work on touch devices

The mod doesn't work in PM because it is dependent on the availability of the existing Quote button in the post footer. If the Quote button is not available, then the mod will not allow quote selection since it assumes that the logged in user has no permission to quote posts. Since there is no Quote button in PMs, the mod works as intended not to allow quote selection in PM.

I'm not sure I correctly understood that.
Currently, I don't understand why you can't quote (or precisely, why the quote button isn't there) in PM, since quoting is possible manually via the bbcode and quoting in PM isn't irrelevant since you on long PM you want to be able to access certain part of a message rather than the whole message.

On my board, apart from the users using Vbmessenger, PM manual quote are exactly the same as in threads.

How the plugin could be modified to work in PM, do you have a solution or was this just a thought (a good one !) ?

Maybe for this particular problem, and a bunch of others, but unfortunately, there are other parameters at play that make moving out of VB impossible at the moment in my situation.
