    Broken Forum

    Hi guys,

Somewhere along the way of trying to secure my forum from http to https, I broke it.

Any suggestions on where to look for a potential fix? This is the http version of the site, so no content SHOULD be blocked. Thanks

My two cents, try a different browser in case its cookies tripping you up.

There's an article by Mark.B entitled "Converting your forum to https". I linked to it in the Useful Links module on homepage.

Interesting, I followed the steps laid out and now have a forum with the following:

1.) no forum links work. Click but nothing happens
2.) external links when clicked lead me to httpss, vs https...interesting
3.) when trying to use admin bar, i get error_information_x as a message

This only affects my default style. If i move over to a different style, it works perfectly

If this only affects only a style, then you probably have a Replacement Variable in that style that finds and replaces http with https. That is not needed and should be removed.

As a side note. All those cool looking icons that are linked to a non-secure site are blocked when your site is in https mode.

Looked at it thruogh firefox. I believe they changed the way sprites are stored in 5.4? Would i just need to manually go into my sprite template and adjust them to https?

The interesting thing is that it is referencing style id=36 which is the parent of my child style. Perhaps something should be done with the parent?
