Developer Documentation on variables and objects

vb5's template syntax has changed compared to vb4.
Is there some sort of documentation on available variables and objects?
In vb4, I did this...
...in order to check whether I am looking at the first post.
Doing something like this would also be of value:
if ( userId == post.userId )
I can see how info on the user can be queried but I have difficulties getting information on the actual posts...
