    BB code

    Hi again.

    How I can add to specific usergroup that they will have Animated Gif and colour on their names ?

    I had this code before, so far lost it.

    And also is that possible to make BB code with gif effect?

    Thanks

    In the Usergroup Manager in AdminCP, each usergroup has "Username HTML Markup" option. You can enter the opening and closing HTML tag around the username.

    For GIFs, did you mean allowing user to easily post animated GIFs? I have a mod for that - GIPHY for vB5.

    Make your vBulletin forum conversations alive and fun by allowing users to quickly insert animated GIFs from GIPHY.com, the top online source for the best and

    This mod doesn't require user to use BB Code tags. You can check it out here by clicking the button with colored icon at the upper right corner of the editor.

      I'm looking now for something free about gifs. I'll need to talk with my hosting, as on my main website I'm able to upload gifs.

      I still didn't get css code how to add colour effects to usegtitles, I remember there is some css code that need to be added for each usergroup, but I forgot.

        If user uploads a gif that's over the specified limit, then the system will downsize it and converts it to jpg and that will lose the animation. Also make sure ImageMagick (if you are using it as the image library) is configured correctly.

        In the "Username HTML Markup" option in AdminCP, you could specify these tags to make the username red, for example:

        Opening tag:
        Code:
        <span style="color: red;">
        Closing tag:
        Code:
        </span>

            The site that you sent me is using these opening and closing tags:

            Code:
            <span class="glow-developer">
            Code:
            </span>
            Then in additional css, they added:

            Code:
            .glow-developer {
                color: #373535;
                font-weight: bold;
                text-shadow: 2px 0px 11px #000000;
                background: url("[COLOR=#FF0000]/path/to/the/animated.gif[/COLOR]")
            }

              Yes, that setting is exactly for the usergroup. Edit the usergroup in AdminCP and look for the "Username HTML Markup" option.

                      On main page, I mean on forum, you can see effect only in topics.

                          It affects the user title for each usergroup. If you add the html markup for different usergroups, then users that belong to those usergroups will have the corresponding username style.

                          That setting is already for usergroups. I don't know what else you need.

                        Sorry.

                        Here is example from this forum:

                        faustvasea - usertitle (it does have effect on my forum)
                        Member - usergroup ( which does not have effect on my forum)

                        So the question is, can I make so MEMBER to have same effect as usertitle (faustvasea) ?
