A Mass User PM mod used to be available for vb4 which we used to send board sponsor advertising to members since you can have formatted text and images. The mass email system in vb 5.7.5 supposedly supports HTML, but it still sends plain/text and users see raw code (unless there's a trick I'm missing). I've been searching for a similar mod, but there doesn't seem to be one. I've seen many people who want the same thing, and no, notices do not work the same. You wouldn't want multiple notices cluttering up your pages before getting to content.

vB 5.7.5 supports HTML email but you have to update the email templates in the Phrase Manager to add the HTML formatting. If you've noticed the emails you received from this site has the forum logo and other formatting.
As for the Mass User PM mod, I'll take a look if it's feasible in vB5.

Thanks for the response. I've seen a lot of people want this feature.
I'm surprised that the html wouldn't be available from the beginning considering the mass email feature says to use html coding. What do you have to change to make it html work?

Go to the AdminCP > Language & Phrases > Phrase Manager, choose Email Body Text in the Phrase Type dropdown. Then edit each email template to add HTML formatting you want.
