Limit Attachment Downloads
Limit file downloads for each group of members on a daily basis
Works with Download Manager
I've done this **outside** the core product using 5.7.5 using the localapi and a set of custom pages for the downloads.
My usergroups have different download permissions -- paid subscribers get unlimited downloads, while unpaid users have a monthly download limit with a maximum of two concurrent downloads. Downloads are managed outside the attachment system, and each download gets logged. Users who exceed the limit get put into Download Jail and are given an opportunity to buy their way out.
