Yes, it's possible to add that in the future.

I'm about to buy this, but one thing I'd like to know is if it's possible to also show a "Read" status on recent posts. I'd like to do a recent posts module that also shows whether you've seen it or not.
Would this be possible?

It's exactly using the same settings as the default Search module.

Installed this mod fine, no probs. But there's no instructions on how to configure the settings for this module and there's lots of settings, at that.
It's past midnight here, so I'll leave this one until tomorrow (or later today, in fact).
Love the mods I've installed so far!

Just upgraded to vB 5.2.6 and installed the latest Search Module That Rocks v1.1 here. See test event in the Latest Topics module on homepage and notice that the forum name is there..

FYI. I updated this module to version 1.1 to support vB 5.2.6 which introduced a new content type Events. Without this, Events will not show up in this custom module.
Follow the updated instructions in the readme file. When you install the new version, make sure you choose "Allow Overwrite > Yes". Then in Sitebuilder, you may need to edit the Search module to check the new "Events" checkbox in order for the Events to show up in the module..
Existing buyers of this product have been notified of this update. They should be receiving an email containing a download link.

Will look into adding auto reload functionality in this module.

As I sat here in front of the computer after the update two modules ceased working. One made by another company, and I thought.... I would not need that module from the other company if there was a search module that "auto" updated or refreshed! Consider this a request!
It would be awesome to have the module that shows recent posts auto update every so often like 60 seconds.
Enjoy,
William

Hi Glenn,
Can you provide the Json string to enter into the advanced editor to show updated topics in the search module?
Appreciate any help that you can give. Right now I have the search module that rocks set for every new response, but I'd like to show another search module that shows only updated topics.
Thanks,
William

The only way to do that is via the Search JSON criteria. That's how search works in vB5.
