Hello Glenn,

embedded TikTok videos don't play anymore. Can you please check and problably provide a fix? I have also checked this against vB 6.2.1. Same problem there. So I assume that TikTok changed something causing this problem.

Works for me in vB 6.2.2.


How does it look like on your end. Do you not see a video at all? Can you post a screenshot?

The video loads, but does not play. Clicking on the play control has no effect.



I have found out that it varies from video to video.

The video from the following link recentky played without any problems.

It does not play anymore.

For that specific TikTok video, the BBCode doesn't seem to be the issue. I also tried using the official embed HTML code provided by TikTok in a forum post with HTML enabled, the video still wouldn't play.

That makes me think it may be an issue with the video itself. Is it possible the creator has restricted that particular video from being embedded?

This may be the case. I was just surprised because that hadn't been the case before, and the video had played normally. So there is nothing we can do. Thanks for checking.
