Funky things and what to review before upgrading

All,

I've agreed to assist with upgrading a vB5 site that is behind in version, primarily because of issues they have had since converting from 3.8. and are understandably gun shy.

attached is a screen shot of what i see when i log into admincp, not sure if this is merely a bug with 5.1.6 or a missing file on the server.


Also, in the admincp there are notices of several outdated templates that reference vB3 versions. It is my understanding these can be reverted as there is no use for them with vB5 install.

And finally, are there any legacy files leftover in the file manager (cpanel) that are no longer needed that can be renamed, then deleted?

In the screenshot, are you concerned about the unsecure connection warning? That just means the login page is not using https.

Yes you can revert the vB3 templates.

When vB3 was upgraded to vB5, all vB3 files should have been deleted.

Its the login screen when I'm already logged in.

Sometimes it times out. Try logging in again.
