Access problem to certain Archives Channels

Some of the Channels we have under Archives > EOL Releases can't be reached when the URL is given, while most can be.

I seem to remember something about an issue when the Channel Manager Title and the Page Manager Page Title aren't the same (they should be).


How do I fix this issue?

You can try renaming the Page URL in Sitebuilder.

Would you login and see what you can do? Take a look at the 8.04 Channel. If you are able to fix that one, so it can be reached via the URL instructions, would you please detail what you did, so I can replicate it on the remaining Channels that are affected? I would greatly appreciate it!

There is more wrong going on. The Channel Name that is specified and that shows is "Current Supported Releases", but the URL to it has 'currently'.


When I view this Channel as an entry in the list of Channels (AdminCP > Channel Management > Channel Manager) it is identified as "Current Supported Releases":



And when editing this entry, it also shows the Title as "Current Supported Releases":


Why is this happening? Where is it occuring within vBulletin?

Today, I moved a Forum from Current Supported Releases to EOL Releases, renaming it to 22.04 and updating its Description. On our Main Page, it is showing up under Archives > EOL Releases, but the URL it is using still references its pre-move location. Again, why?

Although the Channel URL is automatically generated based from the Channel Name by default, the URL may be different because you could change it separately in Sitebuilder. If you don't remember changing the URL before, then probably you've renamed the the channel name before. Renaming the channel name doesn't update its URL unless you manually change it in Sitebuilder. That probably explains why you have mismatched channel name and URL

Where do I do that? It isn't via Channel Manager.

In Sitebuilder, edit the page, then when saving it, you'll see a form that contains these fields: Page Name, Page URL, Make this page the homepage, Meta Description and Template Name. Update the Page URL and save.

I'm not groking fully.



If I click on the linked Page Title, that page opens and the Site Builder is no more. If I click on the pencil icon, the same thing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Got it all cleaned up. What a pain when you forgot/forget to do this when updating a Channel! Hopefully I won't forget this again, as I have Bookmarked this Topic.
