CSS invalid

When I enter the following css code I get an invalid message. I did check it with a CSS validator online and it showed no issue.

It looks valid. Where did you see the invalid message? Where did you enter that CSS?

That's what I thought but when I enter it in on the CSS editor on the front end I get "error, invalid request."

Upon further investigation, it happens when I try to remove CSS so something is going on with the editor.

I can add the CSS on the back end in the CSS template.

I''m trying to get the icons to the left of the page directors to be the same color as the post-reply buttons. I don't see anything in the style variable editor to change that so I'm thinking it is either CSS or is it sprite icons.

Your CSS rules are too generic they might also apply to other elements on the site that use the same button class.

Use this code to target those specific conversation toolbar elements:

.conversation-toolbar .toolbar-filter .b-button,
.conversation-toolbar .toolbar-inline-mod .b-button {
  background-color: #894c4c;
}
