Member List - Last Name search

Question - is there a mod or code change that will enable searching the Member List by last name?

Is Last Name a custom profile field? There's no last name by default in the system.

Glenn, its "Username" field - NCRS username is first name last name (NCRS member number)

In previous installation of 4.5.8 - in Member List - could search on anything including last name in the Username field and get results returned

In 6.08 Member List search - basically only searches on the first name

Ah you're with John Waggoner. In vB5/6, the Memberlist search only does a "starts with" search. I'll check if it's possible to make a plugin that does a "contains" search.

I think it's possible to create a mod for allowing a "contains" search on Memberlist page.

NCRS also needs the ability to email from a user's Message Center like vB v4.5.8 did.

vB 4.5.8 logged in users could send other registered user emails. Appears this function was removed in vB 6.0.8

Would like a mod that permits logged in users to send other users emails.

vbulletin 5 & 6 never had this feature. Is there a vB4.5.8? I thought vB4 only had up to 4.2.5?

Anyway, when sending an email to another user, would the message show in the Sent folder in the Message Center?

Heck it was probably vB 4.2.5, my bad.

It would be nice if the sent message showed in the Message Center. In vB4, don't recall that the email was shown

Will the recipient of the email message just reply to the message thru the regular email client they're using and continue their conversation there and not in the Message Center?

Yes, after the initial email sent from the Message Center, every reply afterwards would be via normal email connectivity.
