Is this avoidable?

A post that contains formatting, but is enclosed in quotes, the formatting code doesn't show (and is what is desired/expected), but in the Latest Topics Module it does. Can this be fixed?

Why [Quote] was used? When posting text in code format, it's ideal to use [code] tags to automatically show monospace fonts and preserve whitespace and line breaks.

Because enclosing that content shows in the post like this:

When you paste the code, you should paste it by plain text to remove formatting. You can do that by right-clicking and choosing "Paste as plain text" from the context menu.

On my iMac and my PC and Laptop, both running Kubuntu Linux, it's "Paste Without Formatting", but regardless, doing that works.
