Searching in Style Variable Editor

When I'm in the Style Variable Editor, typing in the Search Style Variables box doesn't result in the lower listing being filtered by what I've typed. This has been the case for quite a long time. I don't remember when, or if, it ever did, but I know that is is supposed to.

In fact, clicking on Collapse All Groups and/or checking Show Only Customized Variables does nothing either.

Why doesn't it occur for me?

Open the browser debugger tool by pressing F12 and check the Console tab if there's a Javascript error generated.

Nothing appears in the Console window when I type in the Style Search Variables box. Only when I click on an entry in the shown list of variables does anything show in the Console window.

Okay, I fired up Firefox. Searching in the Style Variable Editor works in that browser, so there is something in Safari that is preventing what is supposed to happen from happening. In fact, everything I said wasn't doing anything when using Safari, works using Firefox.

No, it doesn't. All the required options are set correctly. It's something else.
