    Vbulltin and Server

    Hello
    I've a vps from godaddy

    1 vCPU core
    2 GB RAM
    40 GB NVMe SSD Storage

But it hang all the time, and for example I'm not able do search rebilding in vbulletin.
Do you think it's a server configuration problem or a hostingg service one?

    Thank you

What error do you get when rebuilding search? Did you try doing it in command line?

      This's the message,

      for search rebuilding:
1- When I reboot the server, it finishes around 85%.
2- without rebooting, it finishes around 10%.
      and then hang.

Check the error logs on the server to see the detailed error stack trace. I suspect it's timing out.

It's better to do this using command line to avoid timeout.

Try doing it in the command line where no time limit is imposed.

After a migration, a reindexation is recommanded. Since it is a long task, is there a way to do it with a shell command (php -f …). I would be able to launch it in a screen session and don’t worry about a laptop disconnection (power saver option…)

There's a typo in that post. Instead of phpindex.php, it should be searchindex.php.

Your max execution time (30 seconds) might be low for an index rebuild if you've got a lot of post history.

Maybe temporarily raise that to 60 or 120 seconds and see if that helps?

Thank you, it seems a GoDaddy problem.
