From the vB4 download page in Member's Area on vbulletin.com, vB 4.2.5 does not support PHP 7.2

vBulletin 4.2.5 requires PHP 5.6.0 through PHP 7.1.33 and MySQL 5.5.8+.

That's good to hear. I guess you edited the PHP code to work in PHP 7.2 or vbulletin.com Members Area is not updated.
