If i converted to utf-8, should i change all mods xml??

Hello Glenn,

I have successfully converted data to utf8mb4 and restored the Arabic text in database, all praises be to God. Now, i have stopped all hooks and modifications, to allow them, should i change each xml file and replace: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> with: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Or there is no harm to leave mods and hooks as ISO?

I don't think you have to change the encoding in the product XML file as there's no Arabic character in the file.

Great, so i would then change it as sometimes i need to put translation inside xml files, it happens sometimes not much though.

Ideally, translations should be done in the Phrase Manager if the product uses it.

Yes.. i follow this.. but as for adding pm to postbit .. there was no place for translation and i had to change it in xml
