    Making user avatars appear larger in postbits

    Hey guys,

    So coming from good old VB3.8 where the user avatars are shown at a realistic size in the post bit, moving forward to my own site on VB 5.5.1, I notice that the avatars in the posts bits are WAY too small. How does one go about making alterations to fix this ? Users can upload avatars much larger than what is being displayed, so I know that is not an issue. Hoping it is a relatively easy fix.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    P

      You have a custom theme that may be overriding the CSS code provided.

    Yeah I did wonder about that, I have contacted the makers to see which template needs to edited to make the change.

      *UPDATE*

      Heard back from my theme creators, helpful and not helpful. So they said it is not possible in VB5...but gave me a ''CSS Hack'' to which is very similar to what I tried but I may have a play. They referred me to : https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/show...48&postcount=7

        It's just a matter of inspecting the CSS on the page on your site and find out which CSS selectors are being overridden and update it accordingly.

        Sorted post bit width and making the avatar larger using the following for others reference (VB 5.5.1)

        Now, is there a way to make the Avatar display a little further down the post bit, is there a height margin that can be added in and altered ?

        /* start custom avatar size & post bit width - START */
        .l-col__flex-3, .l-row__fixed--left > .l-col__flex-3 {
        margin-left:75px!important;
        }
        .b-userinfo__details {
        width: 200px;
        margin-left:2px;
        }
        .l-desktop .b-userinfo {
        width: 200px;
        }
        .b-avatar--m {
        height: 125px!important;
        width: 125px!important;
        }

        .b-avatar--m > img {
        max-height: 125px!important;
        max-width: 125px !important;
        height: 125px!important;
        width: 125px!important;
        }
        @media only screen and (max-width: 783px) {
        .l-col__flex-3, .l-row__fixed--left > .l-col__flex-3 {
        margin-left:0px!important;
        float:none!important;
        }
        .b-userinfo__details {
        margin-left: 0;
        display:none;
        }

        .b-avatar--m {
        height: 60px!important;
        width: 60px!important;
        }

        .b-avatar--m > img {
        max-height: 60px!important;
        max-width: 60px !important;
        height: 60px!important;
        width: 60px!important;
        }}
        /* start custom avatar size & post bit width - END */

          Code:
          .l-desktop .b-userinfo {
              margin-top: 20px;
          }
