      It looks like you have a divider container different than my theme which will need to be resized to match the image.
      Can you provide a link to a user post?

          Okay, you don't need the margin elements.

          Add this-

          Code:
          .b-avatar--m {
              height: 128px;
              width: 128px;
          }
          The values should match the values you chose for the avatar size in px or use 100%.

          Code:
          .b-avatar--m {
              height: 100%;
              width: 100%;
          }

            Your final code would look like this-

            Code:
            /* Start over-ride postbit avatar size */
            .b-avatar--m > img {
                max-height: 128px;
                max-width: 128px !important;
            }
            .b-avatar--m {
                height: 100%;
                width: 100%;
            }
            /* Stop over-ride postbit avatar size */

            Also, some themes apply borders to the postbit avatar. This will remove the border.

            Code:
            a, a:active, a:visited, .b-link, .ui-widget-content a {
                border: 0px;
            }

              I thought you wanted the avatars to be rectangular and not a square?

                If that could be done, that'd be so much better, but unsure the process and difficulty it'll be?

                  Simply change the value of max-height or max-width. That is the major difference from height and width... when one side of the image reached the MAX it stops resizing.

                    I know that but that will squeeze or stretch the avatar.
