    vb5 limit downloads

I am trying to figure out how to limit the number of downloads a usergroup can download perday. seems I can't find any information on this.
I don't want members to download everything on my site in one day.

    Any help would be awesome.

    Thanks in advance

Off the top of my head, I don't know. I'd have to look in the source code.

bosshog, I assume you were just referring to non-image attachments? Are there any specific file types in particular?

Well the problem I run into is, that you can download any .zip or .rar files without limits, I do not like this and I need to put a stop to members being able to download everything from my website in one shot., I have not seen any way of stopping this, so I am looking for a way, like limit attachments on downloads.

I can't imagine why vB wouldn't have something like this.

This is a unique idea, im intrigued.

What is your driving concern? Bandwidth?

If your using vB as a file serving forum, then you need to be able to limit downloads.

More in detail, if you have several files on different topics for members, you wouldn't want them to be able to leech the entire site in one setting.
