        Jeremiah, I'm running IIS on Win 2008 and had trouble moving to 2012 R2 standard 64-bit OS. The problem I ran into was with storage space and had to eventually move off of Windows altogether. I'll PM you the server details.

          Hi guys, just dropping by to say that the slowness/lag we were experiencing with our forum was caused by the VM it was on. After transferring to a physical server, page refreshes were really fast. =D

          Regards =)

            centos - cpannel - litespeed = ultrafast loading of vb5.
            same with ubuntu - lemp stack - nginx setup

            Windows vms are not perfect for hosting sites they cant even use the turbo boost of cpus & the ram gets swapped to disk if reached near 60%. centos or ubuntu vms are best for running sites.

            heavy traffic sites trick is ssd disk for mysql db or seperate server for mysql db.

              Just to add, our DB is on a separate server. =">
