Load list of threads from specific category

Been trying to do something like this by my own, but haven't managed to. Basically custom module that loads vertical list of threads from the specific category. By clicking each title, they would be opened as private thread. The threads would be displayed in rank order, upon vote ranks.

A custom module can be made to list all topics in a channel using custom coding. To make them private, you have to set permissions in the channel.
