Sort Posts in a Topic by Descending Date/Time

Apologies if this has been posted before. If it has, I haven't found it.

Some folks prefer to view a thread (in Posts, not in Latest Activity) sorted by date/time in descending order. I.e., most recent post to the thread at the top of the first page, first post at the bottom of the last page. I could swear this used to be a user-selectable option in earlier versions of vB, but it doesn't seem to be an option (administrative or otherwise) in vB5. If someone knows of a way to do it, I'd love to hear about it. Otherwise, I think it would make a terrific mod.

It's by design that only the Latest Activity tab displays the posts in descending order. There is an option to make it the default tab in the Conversation Detail module configuration. That's the only way to display it that way without making a mod.

Thanks for the reply Glenn. I figured that was probably the case. Seems a shame, since the Latest Activity tab lacks some of the details shown in the Posts tab. Some of our members have made Latest Activity the default view in their profile settings, to take advantage of the descending sort, but they complain about the missing details (post numbers, signatures, etc) and smaller avatars. Might make a good mod some day.
