I have tens of thousands of car images on my forum just sitting there and I think people would enjoy seeing them. Maybe a mod could be made to create an image slideshow that automatically pulls images from albums / multiple Forums?

How are the images organized/grouped? Are they stored in the file system on the server?

If they are posted in the forums, then they are visible and accessible by the users already. Each forum channel and the topic itself have the Photos tab that contains images posted in that forum or topic. Clicking the photos opens a slideshow.

I was interested in one that would auto-run. So you don't have to manually click the images to open them. Also, when you open the tab, it only shows photos that are on a page, and you have to then click on the next page. The slideshow would also allow users to select how many images could be displayed and the length of time.

Wouldn't you give the freedom for the users to choose which image they want to view?Originally posted by Learning View PostI was interested in one that would auto-run. So you don't have to manually click the images to open them.
If you fetch all the images at once, especially with thousands of images as your site has, then it would slow down your site. So it's good to have the Photos tab with pagination.Originally posted by Learning View PostAlso, when you open the tab, it only shows photos that are on a page, and you have to then click on the next page.

Sorry for the delay getting back. Sure. They could go to the particular sub-forum and then choose a number of images to display - maybe up to a number like 10-20 to make it easier on the site.Originally posted by glennrocksvb View PostWouldn't you give the freedom for the users to choose which image they want to view?

Or another idea. Create a page with a slideshow of the best images I select from the forum, and when you click on the image, it takes you to the post or Album it was taken from. Sort of a highlighted topic. Maybe allow an advertisement for a sponsor to be added in one of the slides.
Or another idea. Let the members create their own slideshow, picking their favorite images from the forum. Sort of "Your Favorite Images". Like a bookmark for your favorite images.

You can do this by featuring a topic with images and then adding a Content Slider module.Originally posted by Learning View PostOr another idea.
