Member List - add search by country and state

NCRS is interested in adding the ability to search the Member List by country and state.

Is that possible?

That would be a separate mod from the Memberlist Contains Search mod as that searches the username field. But this one searches the custom profile fields, Country and State.

Does this also mean that the Country and State fields should be displayed on Memberlist page? That would likely require editing existing vB templates used on Memberlist page, which is not ideal.

Understand that would be a separate mod to search on Member's List Country and State.

State and Country are displayed in the Members Search > About Me page

Yes custom profile fields are displayed on Profile About tab. But do you also want to display them on Memberlist page?

Yes, if that's what it takes to make them searchable, then by all means they need to be displayed in the Members List.

That screenshot was a result of a Member's List search by user name.

They are not required to be displayed to be able to search those fields. The search will be performed on the backend and not frontend.

This will be a custom-made mod for NCRS since not all forums will have Country and State custom fields that need to be searchable on Memberlist page.
