Hey Glenn, I'm looking for a mod that would post a welcome topic when a new member signs up. The post would appear in an admin defined channel or channels.

I would only use 1 channel to post the welcome. However i would like to see the mod have ability to make multiple topics in multiple channels. For example welcoming a staff member, where a public welcome thread was created and another in staff channel for a more private welcome.Website: https://streetvibrations.net

- So 2 exact same topics in 2 different channels?
- Is this only for newly signed up users in specific usergroups or for any usergroup?
- Does the welcome topic include the user's username in the post title and content?
Helpful? Donate. Thanks!

1. Yes
2. Yes for newly signed up users. It would only be for registered users usergroup.
3. Yes the topic title would be 'Please welcome xxxxxxx to the community' and also same in thread content.Website: https://streetvibrations.net

Ashlar217, who will be the author of the welcome post? I assume the mod should have a setting to set the userid of who the author will be. Of course, the specified author should have permission to post to the designated forum channel(s).Helpful? Donate. Thanks!

The main Administration account (I.e me) would be the author of every welcome post automatically generated by the mod. However it would be nice if the mod had ability to set any userid as author. Just as a neat feature should i decide i wanted another user to be responsible for the welcome posts in future (i.e a moderator)Website: https://streetvibrations.net

Having a dedicated user account (e.g. Welcome Bot) for the author is recommended in order to not affect post count, online status and last activity date of your main Admin account.Helpful? Donate. Thanks!

If email verification is enabled, new user has to confirm first their email before the welcome post is created. If user moderation is enabled, user has to be approved first before the welcome post is created.Helpful? Donate. Thanks!
