mito22 I have created this mod and installed it here. I've set the topic age to 6 months to flag a topic as "old". I've also set all usergroups to be included in this anti-bump functionality.
Please test it and let me know your feedback before I release it to the public. You can test in this channel which has a lot of old topics:

Here's a screenshot of how the warning message looks like in the Default Style:

Note that posting a comment to an old post will not trigger the anti-bump popup because of the lack of PHP hooks for posting comments. This should be resolved once https://tracker.vbulletin.com/vbulle...sues/VBV-21050 is deployed to a new vB5 version, possibly in 5.6.8.Helpful? Donate. Thanks!

We always had an issue with newly posted comments showing then disappearing in the unread module, when returning back to read more unread posts and comments. . Glenn, you may remember my complaints on this. The VB team could never really duplicate it except for one time on their end, but nothing was ever resolved. For years now I have disabled comments for the very reason they don't always get read. Do you think the above issue has anything to do with that?

I kinda remember but I can't remember the details. But the above issue only fixes the ability for third-party plugins to be notified when a comment is about to be posted and after it has been posted. It has nothing to do with whatever existing native behavior the comments have.

The Anti-Bump mod is installed here. When you replied here, did you get the Bumping a Topic Warning popup as shown in post #5? You should have seen it since before your reply, the last post was on March last year. I think I've set the threshold to 6 months.Helpful? Donate. Thanks!
