The vB5 search engine doesn't seem to have the ability to sort by views. Based on their documentation for search JSON, these are the only possible values for the "sort" property in the search JSON.
For more details, please refer to https://forum.vbulletin.com/articles...he-search-json and then find "sort"."user", "author", "publishdate", "created", "started", "last_post", "lastcontent", "title", "textcount", "replies", "displayorder", "rank", "relevance", and "votes" (which are likes, not poll votes).
I recommend posting in the vB support forum to ask them to add "views".
