Hello everyone,
I am thinking of creating a mod that displays a welcome popup for new members when they first log in. The idea is that the popup will have:
A friendly welcome message + links to important articles.
A button suggesting using ChatGPT as a “Virtual Assistant”, helping members quickly find answers to frequently asked questions.
The popup only appears once, after the user clicks “Close”, it will not appear again.
In my opinion, integrating AI/ChatGPT elements will help reduce the workload for administrators, while bringing a more modern experience to the forum.
👉 I would like to ask for opinions:
Has anyone tried writing a popup mod like this?
Is it possible to combine with the ChatGPT API to suggest content in vBulletin?
Do you think popups should be kept simple or include advanced options (like FAQ links, mini chatbots)?
