As a freelance developer, working on a vb5 site for a one-off client, the lack of usable code examples online is super frustrating. The fact that I can't access the official forum without a license is silly, since that's where all the links point to. So, I'm was super glad to find this site! I was about to cancel this contract! LOL

The reason the official forum is set up like that - and always has been - is because otherwise the company would be providing free support for the huge numbers of pirated versions out there.
The license owner could add you as an authorised contact for the duration of your contract, and then you'd be able to access the support forums fully.
