Copy vbulletin 5 installation?

Hi there,

I have tried to copy the live vb forum to a subdomain to do some tests... but I can´t get it work

Isn´t this possible with just one licence or what might be the problem?

I have already changed all pathes in database. But it still links to the "original" live installation, even the admincp

How did you change the URLs in the database? You also need to reset the datastore after changing the URLs

delete from datastore where title in ('options', 'publicoptions', 'miscoptions');

hmm... I have changed the urls in the settings table.. seems that this is more complicated than I thought

ehm... query? sorry but I have no idea how to do that.

and I changed the url in the setting table manually because I am not into working with database/mysql.

What tool did you use to change the url in the setting table? Phpmyadmin? You can also execute SQL queries from there.

yes, I changed it in phpmyadmin.

right now I think of creating a new installation and then rebuild the most important parts of the live forum. seems easier for me
