Possible spammer exploit

Spammers hit my site today they got through all the security i had in place the way the got through is quite good in a sick sort of way by using visitor messaging as can be seen in this pic

original code i was using which i am sure a lot of other ones use same code,

Replace with:

{"date":{"from":"7"},"type":["vBForum_Gallery","vBForum_Link","vBForum_Photo","vBForum_Poll","vBForum_Text","vBForum_Video"],"sort":{"relevance":"desc"},"view":"","exclude_type":["vBForum_PrivateMessage","vBForum_VisitorMessage"]}

I totally disabled VM here as I don't find any use for it.
