    PHP 7.1 and Memcached

Memcached is an option on my new server. Does anyone recommend or not recommend using it with Vbulletin 5 and PHP 7.1? Any advantages or disadvantages?

    Enjoy,
    William

I might add Varnish HTTP cache too.

How are you going to add Varnish glennrocksvb? Using source or plugin like xVarnish (now called Cachewall)?

Got Memcached online today. What was unexpected was a slower page load speed of near a second and a half. I don't know whether this was due to traffic from the testing point (Dallas) on Gtmetrix though.

I enabled Cloudflare and began setting up some page rules etc so I can utilize Rocketloader at least for the homepage. Here are the results. I think that is pretty good "globally"?

Sorry for me being maybe a bit off topic but is it better to use the php 7.1 than 7.0.17 ? And can I swith to it without any problems with vbulletin?

vB5.2.6 supports 7.1 but William's site was having issues with it in his old web host SiteGround but so far no problems (as far as I know) in his new host A2 Hosting.

You can try switching the PHP version on your site. Hosts usually have PHP Switcher in cPanel to easily switch to different PHP versions.

                        Thank you.
And yes... I can swith it on my Cpanel.

The only think I tried yet was setting it from FastCGI Apache to nginx, but that didn´t work as good/fast as on other websites. So I set it back .
