Notifications for Moderation

It would be nice if there was a way to get a notification for posts that are in the moderation que. Email, or a flashing notification would help many of us that use moderation to prevent spam. A new user with good intentions should not have to soak until it's noticed. This is detrimental to the forum. The time spent everyday for a moderator to keep checking is ridiculous. There must be a way to devise a system that can be turned off for those that don't need it.
