Our old sites were completely overrun with spam and malware, so we are rebuilding new sites with SSL, server side monitoring, etc. Am I missing anything else? LOL

We have been overrun with spam recently, nothing for 4 years and now 5-10 attacks a day. -
I put all new members into a moderation usergroup until they post. The problem with that is VB removed the automatic notifications, so we are constantly having to look to see if there are any posts to moderate. Just crazy, isn't it? It's really detrimental to the forum and the new members when their honest posts don't show up until we have noticed them to moderate.
