Social medias took over the forums

In these days social medias took over the forums. That's really bad as is hard to grow and keep alive a forum.

It's a bit pointless to have a forum I think.

You need a forum with elderly users like mine. Most don't do social media so I guess I'm lucky

Mmm, I don't do social media as well. But on these days they took over. As a photographer I made a forum for my clients. No really works.

Something that social media lacks is proper content continuity and maturity I find, I think there is still a place for forums. Forums are great content hubs and is not something social media will take on well. Further to that information reference, unless it is just images is awful on social media. Like I said, forums are content hubs.

there is another thing that make forums that better choice, you can kick/ban/delete and you can edit their posts if you dont like what they had to say. lol, I like facebook and some other social media platforms however I like my site better as I am making it into my own style, In addition we have no control on how facebook style looks but we do have that control on our own websites. people are more weary on sites they use their passwords on, I have ssl on mine (https) therefore having that extra security makes it much more secure for my members.
