    Autosuggestion color

    You know, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get annoying at some point, but it seems like sometimes vb doesn't seem to do what you think it should.

    I noticed that my autocomplete background was making it hard to read the suggestion, so I changed the stylevar to something easier to read. When I inspect the element it shows my color is there but the box remains white.

    This also happens with mention suggestions.

    I much appreciate the help.

    Add this in css_additional.css template or in Sitebuilder > Style > CSS Editor.

    Code:
    .ui-autocomplete .ui-menu-item {
        background: #222;
        color: #fff;
    }
    .ui-autocomplete .ui-menu-item.ui-state-focus {
        background: #555;
    }
    Change colors accordingly.

        So along the lines of changing the color and the font size in the editor, there seems to have been an unintended side-effect. I have the CKEditor font set to 18px thanks to your help. When an autosuggestion comes up in the editor from an @mention its position will be off by quite a bit. If the mention is towards the middle or right of a line the mention comes up far to the left.

        Is there a way to correct for the 5px text size increase in CSS or do I need to look in the JS for something?

        Thanks.

          I have to see how it looks like in order for me to suggest a solution.

            Yeah, that might help. Sorry, it's late.

              Is that issue caused by increasing the editor font size? I haven't seen that issue here.

                Yes, it seems to be. If I remove the font-size statement in the rollup js it aligns properly.

                  Spent a bit of time on this today but made no headway. I can see by inspecting the suggestion popup that it's got a left value being inserted inline. What does this however, is beyond my ability at this point.

                    If you give me a test account to your forum then I could log in and see the issue and possibly provide a solution.

                      I'll set one up and PM you the details. I've still got to try out some of Felix's suggestions. Maybe that will work better than putting the font-size in the javascript blob.

                      Yeah, it's not recommended to edit existing vB js files if it can be avoided as you would have to apply the changes every time you upgrade.
