    Free Mod How to increase the default height of vB5 CKEditor

    The default height of vB5 CKEditor is 70px. That may be too short for some even if the editor "autogrows" when you get to the bottom and press Enter.

    To increase it without modifying any CKEditor configuration, you just add this simple custom CSS in css_additional.css template in AdminCP or in Sitebuilder > Style > CSS Editor.

    Code:
    .b-editor .cke_contents {
        min-height: 100px;
    }

        Very nice. I didn't know that I needed this until today.

          FWIW, this bit of CSS didn't work for me until after I put " !important " after the attribute value. I've been trying to change the height of that editor text box for hours and I appreciate the info.

            Make sure that you are using min-height and not height. If you use height, you need !important but for min-height, you don't unless you have other min-height defined somewhere else that overrides it.

              In CSS, min-height always wins over height even if height has !important as long as the min-height value is greater than height.

                I used min-height and had to use ' !important '. Perhaps the theme I'm using has some CSS that conflicted. I started with a canned theme and modified it from there.

                  That may explain why !important is needed in your case.

                This was perfect. I was so used to vB4 (usually) keeping the editor at the same size I had it previously, so the small vB5 size was a little frustrating. This worked out nicely as a quick fix. Thanks!
