There is a BB Code tag through which vBulletin username is easily retrieved from vBulletin environment (no database, but from the displayed page) and sent to the chat script environment. Like every stand alone program that is to be integrated into vBulletin, the chat module is integrated to vBulletin through iframe; e.g. youtube videos. The same is done with stand alone arcades modules.
