I know that vb4 may be old and creaky, but I'm not paying for another vb5 license. 
Anyway, I remember that when I ran vb4 on another forum I had done this signature hader that displayed the user's name above their signature. I'm having trouble reproducing this. If anyone can help me out, that'd be nice.
Basically I'm trying to make a header that reads
Bob's Signature
Where Bob is replaced by the poster's signature.
I also want to do a conditional Edit button for your own posts. I think Ica do this by checking whether bbuserinfo['userid'] if equal to post['userid'].
