How to add image alt tags VB5

Is there any way to automatically add alt tags title for all images by thread
Because if you upgrade you will lose all image descriptions, and it is very important for SEO

First of all, welcome to the forums sky55!

To answer your question...I'll take a look if it's possible to replicate that mod in vB5. For sure, it will require hacking PHP files to accomplish this (if at all possible) because of the lack of PHP hooks in vB5. I filed a hook request in vBulletin JIRA to add more PHP hooks. Please vote for it. Having these hooks will help in properly creating this mod.

Implementing something like what BirdOPrey5 did (Add Alt Text to Linked Images by BOP5) for vB5 will require hacking one or more PHP files because vB5 has no PHP hooks for BBCodes. This means that whatever changes that will be done on those PHP files will need to be manually re-applied every time you upgrade. Is that OK with you sky55?

Well it's not easy to do. I'll have to understand the logic for parsing the [img] BBCode to be able to edit the PHP files and add the logic to add alt attribute.
