    Avatars in Filesystem

    Hi,

Someone have a recipe to serve and rebuild the avatars from the filesystem ? The avatars are currently being served from the database.

I tried but it does not work. The customavatars directory is chmodded to 0777.
    Code:
    /home/public_html/forum/core/customavatars
    ./home/public_html/forum/core/customavatars

    /home/mycPanelID/public_html/forum/core/customavatars
    ./home/mycPanelID/public_html/forum/core/customavatars

    /home/mycPanelID/domains/mydomain.com/public_html/forum/core/customavatars
    ./home/mycPanelID/domains/mydomain.com/public_html/forum/core/customavatars
    I have access to a php.info file.

What's the error? Did you try just ./customavatars? The path should be relative to the /core directory.

        Code:
        /home/IDcPanel/public_html/forum/core/customavatars
IDcPanel is my ID for an access to Cpanel.

Glenn, after the reply of Wayne on vb.com, I no longer wish to move the avatars into the filesystem.

It will be easier for me, easier for the members and easier for the forum if the forum moved to another host. Avatars will remain in the database.

The attachments are already in the filesystem.

        Thank you very much.

See you reported it as a bug and Wayne was able to reproduce it on a fresh install. And glad I could help somewhat 😉

I don't think there was a bug. It works with the default settings. Just a error message that was confusing (if we attempt to reconstruct the customavatars).
