so it was easy in VB4 to do this on a home page.

I would put this in a general questions area.. but was not sure where to post this. But I really want to be able to do this on my main site, give a few of what is going on in my forums? Any ideas or suggestions please!

    Thanks

Recent Forum Posts is the Latest Topics module. For the blogs, you can have Recent Blogs module which is there in the homepage in the default vB5 fresh installation. If you don't have it, it's easy to create it, it's just a Search module. The Welcome, Instagram and Get Connected can be done using HTML module.

For the slideshow, I've done something like that for NumNum at http://apco-atlantic.org/

what I would like is the last number of x posts on my main site that lives outside of the VB5 enviro, the slider is not an issue. I just want to pull the last 10 posts or topics and have them on my sites home page that is not in the VB5 forum.

I see. You could call vB5 API to fetch latest topics using HTTP protocol. Is your main site using PHP and on the same server as vB5? If yes, you could call the API directly without issuing HTTP request which is faster without http overhead.
