    Show More Comments Button

    Is there a way the show more comment button could be made more obvious and pronounced? Perhaps make it look like the other buttons?

    For example:

    Click image for larger version

Name:	Show More Comment.jpg
Views:	394
Size:	94.3 KB
ID:	8746

    If it matched the big yellow buttons I have elsewhere in the forum like the pagination mod that'd be great.

    Enjoy,
    William

        I am unfamiliar with VB Cloud, but if you have access to additional_css:

        Code:
        /* More Comments Button */
        .b-comments__pagination--up, .b-comments__pagination--down {
            text-align: center;
            width: 50px;
            height: 20px;
            display: inline-block;
            vertical-align: middle;
            cursor: pointer;
            border-radius: 2px;
            font: bold 0.9rem Helvetica,Arial,Verdana,sans-serif;
            color: #944004;
            border-top: 1px solid #FFE8AE;
            border-bottom: 1px solid #8E510F;
            background: #ffca41;
            background: -moz-linear-gradient(top,#ffca41 0%,#fd8f19 100%);
            background: -webkit-gradient(linear,left top,left bottom,color-stop(0%,#ffca41),color-stop(100%,#fd8f19));
            background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top,#ffca41 0%,#fd8f19 100%);
            background: -o-linear-gradient(top,#ffca41 0%,#fd8f19 100%);
            background: -ms-linear-gradient(top,#ffca41 0%,#fd8f19 100%);
            filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#ffca41',endColorstr='#fd8f19',GradientType=0);
            background: linear-gradient(top,#ffca41 0%,#fd8f19 100%);
            -moz-box-shadow: 0 1px 0 #608AAE;
            -webkit-box-shadow: 0 1px 0 #608AAE;
            box-shadow: 0 1px 0 #608AAE;
            text-shadow: 0 1px 0 #FECE86;
        }
        /* More Comments Button End */
        I'm sure this could be "cleaned" up some.

          Well i put it on and it seems to work, maybe Glenn can chime in also when he see's this. The next VB update will have the bug fix for how many comments to show. Right now it's stuck at three until you hit the button. I plan to set mine at a much higher amount so they are all visible

          Thanks William

            I was unawares of any bugs in the comment section as I enabled the feature for the first time last night. Thanks, I'll keep my eye for additional settings which pertain to the comment options in future VB release.

            Enjoy,
            William

            After you enlarged the comment pagination buttons, the comment pagination numbers and the number of comments look off.

            Click image for larger version

            You might want to increase the font size and adjust the line-height to center it vertically.

            Look at how I did it here:

            Click image for larger version

            By default, vBulletin 5's main navigation menu only displays the sub-menu for the currently active main menu. If you are in a forum page and you want to create a new blog, you would have to click Blogs first then click "Create a New Blog". That's two clicks. If we display the sub-menus as you hover each main menu

                  I have that feature here using the Quote Selected Text mod. You can try highlighting this comment and click Quote button. that appears. That mod though is not compatible with vBCloud but a vBCloud version can be made.

                There is no stylevar. So you need to add custom CSS:

                Code:
                .b-comments__header {
                    font-size: 14px;
                    line-height: 32px;
                }
                The line-height is to center the text vertically. It should be the same height as the comment pagination button. In my case it is 32px.

                      Some users at our forum sometimes write such long and substantial comments that in comments new discussion begins. Generally, the forum began to remind social network slowly. Meanwhile, I consider that the comment has to be short and only in fact messages. Therefore I would like to limit quantity of symbols in the comments. Can you prompt to me how to make it?
