Flash now blocked in Chrome by default
You might have noticed by now that Flash is disabled by default in Chrome. This means that unless a website has an HTML5 content player, video content will not automatically display. All Flash content will be blocked, unless users manually enable it on a site-by-site basis. This started in Chrome 55 (we are in Chrome 58 at the time of this writing). The benefits of using HTML5 in place of Flash are improved security, reduced power consumption and faster page load times. Soon Flash will die like IE6 did several years ago.
