I thought from our PM conversation, you wanted to allow guests to download the attachments but provide a timer so that the download is delayed and user has to wait for the timer to run out before the actual download of the file occurs?
That blank page is a known vB5 issue and that occurs if you don't give "Can Download Attachments" permissions to guest. If you want to allow user to download attachments, you have to enable that permission.
